The Trainspotting director will not be making the next 007 film
28 Days Later and Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle will no longer be directing Bond 25.
James Bond Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, along with star Daniel Craig, made the announcement that Boyle was exiting the project, which he had been set to direct.
"Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig today announced that due to creative differences Danny Boyle has decided to no longer direct Bond 25," the official James Bond Twitter account tweeted.
At the time of his appointment, MGM's Chairman of the Board of Directors, Kevin Ulreich said: “We couldn’t be more thrilled than to bring the next 007 adventure to the big screen uniting the incomparable Daniel Craig with the extraordinary vision of Danny Boyle.”
Well, that's no longer going to happen as the producers will be looking for a new director.
Production on Bond 25 is set to begin in December of this year, with the UK and Ireland release currently scheduled for 25 October 2019.
Of course, Daniel Craig is back as 007 but nothing else is known about the film.
