Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper has announced his engagement to the “love of his life” Taya.

Cooper shot to fame following the first season of the Amazon Prime series, which follows Jeremy Clarkson’s attempts to farm 1,000 acres of land in the Cotswolds.

Sharing the news with fans on Christmas Day, Cooper wrote on Instagram: “She said yes! 2022 has been an amazing year. This definitely tops it off.

“I honestly can’t wait for 2023 and all the following years after that. @tayaaaxx your my best friend as well as the love of my life. Was a long wait for this (6 and a half years).”

The post was accompanied by a outdoor selfie of the happy couple, with the engagement ring in clear view.

The news delighted many, and the post has racked up more than 161,000 likes.

His wife-to-be commented: “I LOVE YOU CAN’T WAIT TO MARRY YOU!”

Jeremy Clarkson’s daughter Emily, 28, also passed on her best wishes, writing: “Yayyyyyy congrats guys!”

The news of their engagement comes just four weeks after the couple announced that “baby Cooper number 2” was on the way.

Posing with their toddler Oscar, the family held up a scan photo, while a caption said: “So excited to announce that baby Cooper number 2 is cooking nicely.

“My number one goal is to buy myself a farm and be able to bring my kids up enjoying what I think is the best lifestyle which is the farming lifestyle.”

In October, it was confirmed that Clarkson’s Farm would be returning for a third series.

Cooper said he was “over the moon to be taking part again”, adding: “Well, they do say third time’s a charm! Maybe this will be the season that Jeremy finally starts taking advice from a real farmer!”

Meanwhile, the second season of the popular show will be released on Amazon Prime on February 10 next year and will see the team deal with new animals and crops as well as an ongoing feud with the local council as Clarkson attempts to open a restaurant on the farm.

Clarkson has been under fire in recent days for ‘hateful’ comments he made about Meghan Markle though, leading some to call for Amazon Prime to axe him.
