Amazon Prime beats Netflix to new Top Gear show

Amazon have won the race to sign former Top Gear hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May for a new car-themed series.

The trio have been caught in the middle of a tug-of-war between streaming services Amazon Prime, Netflix and Yahoo since it was revealed that they can't launch a show on ITV until at least 2017. While many expected Clarkson and co to make the move online, it's surprising to see Netflix lose out to Amazon.
