Abou Diaby is back – here’s what has happened while he’s been out injured

Abou Diaby is close to making his competitive debut for Marseille after a series of injury woes.

The former Arsenal man called time on his Premier League career in the summer,  and 506 days passed before he returned to a first team squad for the Coupe de France meeting with Trellisac. Five. Hundred. And. Six.

To put that into context, here are some things that have happened since the French international last took to the field, in Arsenal’s 2-1 Capital One Cup defeat at home to Southampton in September 2014.
