A new character has arrived on EastEnders and she’s bound to cause drama

A new face has arrived in Albert Square and she appears to be spying on the Fowler family.

Friday night's episode saw actress Katie Jarvis arrive in Walford as a mysterious newcomer named Hayley, who was taking photos of Martin as he rowed with Stacey over their kids. Towards the end of the episode, she was seen looking at her phone while sitting in the cafe. She was looking through the photos she had taken of Martin and Stacey rowing, before answering a call from a private number. She told the caller:

"Took your time, didn't you? Yeah, I'm here. You never told me this place was so… friendly.

"So you got the pictures I sent then? That's him, yeah? I knew it. I can sniff a wretch at 20 paces. So far up himself, I'm surprised it ain't coming out the other end.

"Me? Wouldn't touch him with the bottom end of a bog brush, thanks. Don't you worry. I know exactly what to do next."

The credits didn't give a surname for Hayley, so it's still not too clear as to who she actually is - and why she's got such an interest in Martin.
