A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after storming a Bristol petrol station with a knife on Thursday.
Staff at Morrisons Daily in Hengrove Way were forced to hide inside a safe room as armed officers and a police negotiator arrived at the scene shortly after 7.30am.
A man in his 20s was injured and wis being treated for non life-threatening injuries in hospital.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said the man was at a police custody unit and would be assessed by health professionals.
