West Ham have already lined up the man they want to replace David Moyes as manager at the club, according to reports.
On Sunday, it was reported that West Ham had decided to part ways with the Scottish manager. This came after the Hammers were thrashed 5-0 against Chelsea in a humiliating defeat at Stamford Bridge.
Now, Fabrizio Romano reports that the East London side have already agreed terms with Julen Lopetegui to replace Moyes from the start of next season.
He wrote on X: "Julen Lopetegui has agreed terms with West Ham to become new head coach replacing David Moyes from next season. Lopetegui has accepted #WHUFC proposal, ready to proceed to formal stages. Details being finalised then contracts will be signed but agreement in place."
The Spaniard has previously had spells at Sevilla - where he won the Europa League - and as head coach of the Spanish national side.
Most recently, he was the manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers, guiding the club to a 13th place finish last season. However, he departed in the summer due to concerns over the club's financial situation.
For Moyes, his imminent departure from West Ham marks a disappointing end to his second spell at the club.
The 61-year-old has been West Ham's manager since 2019, and guided the club to Europa League qualification in 2021.
After reaching the semi-finals of the competition, Moyes led West Ham to the 2022-23 Europa Conference League title the following season, their first European trophy since 1965.
However, this season has seen large sections of the West Ham fans call for Moyes to leave, with many unhappy with the style of football he plays.
In recent weeks, their form has also dropped off massively, with West Ham having won just one of their last nine league games.
