Tyson Fury refused to drink water after beating Wladimir Klitschko for a very paranoid reason

Tyson Fury won the fight of his life against reigning world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko - and he wasn't about to let anyone take it away from him.

Fury clinched a historic unanimous decision over the imperious Ukrainian and took the 39-year-old's IBF, WBA and WBO titles off him. But the British boxer was on high alert for any funny business or skulduggery - even after winning the title. The 27-year-old refused to drink any water after the 12-round bout in Dusseldorf, Germany, for fear the bottles might be spiked with drugs. Fury was given 'good information' that the water may have been tampered with to try and discredit him, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

'After the fight, I had it from good sources not to touch anything in the changing room because they might try to drug me,' he said.

'People were trying to pass me all sorts of things but unless it came from my own baggage, I wasn't having it, there was no chance of me getting drugged.

'I went home dehydrated before I even touched anything because I was so frightened of being tested and failing the test because they've given me something. You can never be too careful.'

He's not going to relinquish those belts for anything or anyone.
