Rashford is seen as the ideal candidate to replace Kylian Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing a bid to try and sign Marcus Rashford in the summer.

The French giants are lining up their offer as they prepare to replace Kylian Mbappe, who is destined to join Real Madrid in the summer.

Rashford has been admired by PSG for a long time and tried to sign him back in 2022, offering a £400,000-a-week only for the England international to turn down the approach and remain at Manchester United.

He went on to score a career-best 30 goals last season and signed a deal until 2028 although that form hasn’t continued this campaign and has only seven goals in 34 games in all competitions.

PSG preparing big offer

As they prepare for life without Mbappe, reports suggest that PSG will go back in for Rashford and according to the Mirror, will send an offer of £75m to the Red Devils.

It’s believed that United would want around £100m to begin discussions, especially as they walk the tightrope that so many others face when it comes to financial fair play restrictions.

If they were to sell Rashford it would be straight profit for the club as he was an academy prospect, meaning that due to profit and sustainability rules, they would be able to spend more of it.

Rashford opens up on Man United future

Despite being linked with a move to the French capital, Rashford insists that he is committed to spending his long-term future at United.

In a piece with the Players’ Tribune, he said: “If you ever question my commitment to United, that’s when I have to speak up. It’s like somebody questioning my entire identity and everything I stand for as a man.

“If you start questioning my commitment to this club and my love for football and bringing my family into it, then I’d simply ask you to have a bit more humanity.”
