Manchester United ring in the changes for Burnley as Juan Mata takes captain’s armband

Manchester United will be hoping to make it two home wins this week as they welcome Burnley to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils will be hoping to build on their EFL Cup win over rivals Manchester City on Wednesday by bagging another three Premier League points against the Clarets. Jose Mourinho has made four changes to his starting lineup from the City victory. The most prominent one being Juan Mata coming in in place of Maruane Fellaini. With Chris Smalling failing a late match fitness test and Wayne Rooney taking a spot on the bench, the Spanish midfielder will captain the team. Eric Bailly is out of the game after suffering a knee injury against City while Antonio Valencia has been dropped entirely, making room for Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmian and Luke Shaw to enter the fray. https://twitter.com/ManUtd/status/792350137783812096?lang=en On Friday before the match, United boss Jose Mourinho said:

"In the last seven matches, we lost one. It's better to lose one match 4-0 than four matches 1-0. It's three points. "Our run of results is not bad. We lost two points against Stoke, which was the best match by far in our season in terms of chance creation and opportunities. "We are a team in process, we won't do that in three or four months, in this moment we just think about it game by game and Burnley will be very difficult."
