Antoine Griezmann and his wife Erika Choperena recently announced the sex of their second child

In a video posted on the his Instagram account, Atletico Madrid striker can be seen kicking a ball towards a target – which, as a footballer, he hits cleanly – which then releases blue balloons to indicate that they are expecting a boy.

His post has been viewed 1.7 million times on the site and has received more than 23,000 comments, many of which are from both his club and his national teammates.

Choperena herself then posted a photo to her own Instagram account with the caption: “It’s a boy!”

The majority of comments are your usual “congrats” and “soooo happy for you” and whatever else you tend to see on your Facebook page every other day, but one comment has apparently caused a bit of controversy on the internet.

That comment was courtesy of model Georgina Rodriguez, who is probably better known as the partner of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Rodriquez commented on the photo: “A little man to control Mia’s future lovers and bring order! I’m really glad.”

The comment is referring to Griezmann and Choperena’s two-year-old daughter Mia, and has provoked a lot of anger from Instagram users, many of whom described it as a “macho” comment.

“This is a very macho comment, too much I would say. So do not come with the story that it is not, that it is only ‘brother’s love’. The man or the woman does not have to control anyone over their love relationships or make any order. Everyone will live their life. So yes, it is a macho comment. I’m sorry to report it like this!” said one user.

“Sorry but women control themselves. In the 21st century you are writing such a stupid comment,” added another.

Another, clearly angry user, added: “You disgust me.”
