Gary Cahill deletes Andre Marriner tweets but this impassioned rant might still land him in trouble

He's not a happy bunny.

Gary Cahill is not a happy man, and he wants you to know about it.

The Chelsea defender was fuming on Sunday after the Blues dropped two points away from home against Swansea to put an end to their 100% start to the season.

Two strikes from Diego Costa bookended a pair of quick goals for the Swans, and Cahill was not happy at all about the second.

The England international clearly believes he was fouled by Leroy Fer when the Dutchman dispossessed him on his way to giving Swansea the lead.

In a post-match interview, Cahill was forthright and clear in his belief that he was fouled, admitting the he had spoken with referee Andre Marinner after the final whistle to demand an explanation.

It’s rare to see a footballer speak so openly about something like this.

But Cahill didn’t stop there. It is clear that he was extremely unhappy with Marinner’s handling of the game, and he was not alone in that regard since both Swansea and Chelsea fans were critical of the referee’s performance.

Not happy with just letting his feelings known during the post-match interview, Cahill also voiced his displeasure on Twitter, posting a serious of now-deleted tweets which made it crystal clear that he did not agree with the decision.

First he shared a gif of the challenge in question, before letting a serious of angry emojis do the talking for him.

Cahill obviously thought better of his decision – or someone had a quick word with him – and he duly took them down.

Or maybe he just didn’t want to be done for copyright infringement by the Premier League.

Either way, he’s not happy.
