A recent poll put the Conservatives top of Welsh politics

This week polling showed the Conservative party netting the largest vote share in Wales, 24 per cent to Labour’s 22. It is the worst performance by the Labour party in any Welsh poll, ever.

Experts indicated the seven point Tory surge could be down to a Boris bounce, with the prime minister’s hardening rhetoric over Brexit and commitment to pursuing no deal boosting his popularity in Wales.
