'Whose idea was this stage setting because fire them'

Theresa May has delivered a speech on the housing crisis in front of an unusual fake brick background. She promised to get tough with property developers who sit on planning permissions, warning they could be penalised in future bids. May said young people are "right to be angry" at not being able to buy their own home. Labour said the measures were feeble and inadequate. "This housing crisis is made in Downing Street," said shadow housing minister John Healey. "It's time the Tories changed course, and backed Labour's long-term plan to build the genuinely affordable homes." Unsurprisingly, Twitter users took little interest in the speech and concerned themselves with its unusual setting - brutalising the Prime Minister and her communications team. https://twitter.com/MLAsAndTheLike/status/970614898337206273 https://twitter.com/ladyhaja/status/970612785783681025 https://twitter.com/ThomasWPenny/status/970610198325940224 https://twitter.com/deftly_admiral/status/970614750022381570 https://twitter.com/agiack/status/970613543342100481 https://twitter.com/rachelschraer/status/970609915449536513 https://twitter.com/jrmaidment/status/970609170738241536 There's usually a pithy sentence here but I think I've just shown you the best jokes available. Good bye.
