The political commentator has claimed Trump is being pressured by Benjamin Netanyahu.

Tucker Carlson has claimed that Donald Trump could launch a nuclear attack on Iran “within days.”

Eight months on the US and Israel starting their war with Iran, the conflict that has sparked global economic turmoil shows no sign of ending any time soon.

There’s huge anger amongst Americans towards the Trump administration for starting the war that has sent the cost of living soaring. Should Republicans lose control of both Congress chambers at this week’s mid-terms, the Iran war will almost certainly be the main reason.

It already seems to have been a factor in Benjamin Netanyahu losing his majority in the Israeli elections, and he has reportedly been pressuring Trump in the wake of this.

In a post on X over the weekend, conservative commentator Tucker Carlson claimed Netanyahu is “pushing hard” for the Trump administration to escalate the Iran war with a nuclear strike.

The former Fox News presenter wrote: “Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran.”

He said that the target for a strike would be “Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program.”

Carlson continued: “No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike.

“Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. ‘Bibi calls Trump about it every day,’ says an informed observer.”

Referencing the Israeli elections, Carlson argued Netanyahu is “cornered” and unable to form a government unless “Trump intervenes directly in Israeli politics and brokers a deal with other parties.”

“Otherwise, he is out as prime minister and on his way to ignominy, investigations and possibly jail. Netanyahu must stay close to Trump. He needs this war,’”Carlson said.

He pointed out how any nuclear strike could spark a chain reaction across the world where nations such as Russia, Pakistan, India and North Korea would be emboldened to use nuclear weapons.

“After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable. That war would be short and final,” Carlson wrote.

He added that “close observers” say Trump is likely to decide by November 7 “whether or not to use nuclear weapons.”

Ever since the start of the conflict with Iran, Trump has seemed willing to use weapons of mass destruction.

In April, he threatened that a “whole civilisation will die” if Iran did not make a deal with the US.

This was after Trump had said he was ‘not worried about committing war crimes.’
