This is an undeniable fact and something which should probably give us a degree of concern. We are all now acutely aware of the often deranged behaviour and words of the US president, but is Joe Biden - who during his campaign has been regularly seen slurring his words and forgetting what he was saying mid-sentence - the man to beat him? Whichever of the two is elected as president of the United States at the end of the year will be the oldest person to ever take the oath of office upon their inauguration. Age itself is not the issue. Noam Chomsky is 91 years old. It is instead the characteristics of senility.
