Video of rich woman revealing gender of baby by opening £25,000 bag goes viral

People aren't having it

The anonymous woman didn't have a pink or blue cannon, nor a plane flyover dropping confetti, but instead opted for a £25,000 handbag to be given to her in the colour of her baba's gender.

The clip was shared by Luxe Du Jour on Instagram and showed a man presenting her with an orange box which contained a pink bag inside.

The mum-to-be erupted into tears of joy but many viewers didn't share her joy and instead called her out and lambasted her as materialistic and superficial.

The video was captioned:"'How rich people do gender reveals." On the post, one person commented: "Out of touch with reality. Sad."

Another user commented: 'Nonsense, freaking nonsense.' 

Someone else added: 'I think this might be the dumbest thing I’ve seen all week.'

Another person commented: 'So superficial. The world needs to get real. '

'Can't tell what she's more excited for haha,' someone else wrote. 

'Tacky in my opinion,' added one user.
