Two men plunged off a cliff while playing the wildly popular Pokemon Go game in San Diego.

According to The San Diego Union Tribune, one man fell approximately 50ft from the cliff and another fell 90ft onto a beach in Encinitas on Thursday afternoon.

Encinitas fire battalion chief Robbie Ford said that the man who fell onto the beach told the sheriff’s deputies that both men had been playing Pokemon Go when they fell over the edge of the cliff at approximately 1pm.

Thankfully, both men survived.

The age of the two men is not known but they were both taken to a hospital in nearby La Jolla with unspecified injuries.

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last fortnight or so, you’ll know that Pokemon Go, a virtual reality game that allows players to train and capture virtual Pokemon characters who pop up in real-life locations on a user’s mobile device, has taken the world by storm.
