Thousands of people have bet that Jesus Christ will return to Earth in 2025

Over half a million dollars has been bet on his return!

Yes, this year!

In both Christianity and Islam, it is taught that Jesus will return to earth again, having done it once before after crucifixion.

According to the Bible, Jesus would have ascended to heaven after his resurrection, so how is he expected to come again?

Well, there are a ton of claims around the second appearance of Jesus on earth, but not many would have expected a betting site to be rolled into the mix.

Polymarket is a crypto-betting site where people can place bets of whether or not something will occur, and the most popular/likely outcome costing more to invest in.

Currently, half a million dollars has been placed on the chance of Jesus returning to earth in 2025; however, the majority of this has been put on this NOT happening.

Probably for the best.

Although a couple thousand dollars has been placed in the yes pile.

Some of this may be based on the Millenial Day Theory, which claims that a second coming will occur 6,000 years after the creation of mankind, ushering a millennium of peace.

A huge dent in this theory, however, is that humans have been around much longer than 6,000 years, with scientists finding evidence that could suggest humans have been on earth for nearly 300,000 years.

The Bible states that 'no one knows the day or the hour' of the second coming, so maybe all the guessing isn't the best use of money...

I guess either way people will have to wait until December 31 for their payouts.
