A second man has been charged in connection with a disturbance at a London nightclub involving R&B star Chris Brown.
This week, the American singer was arrested at the Lowry Hotel in Salford over an incident at the Tape club in London, said to have happened in 2023. Brown was later charged over the an incident, which saw him allegedly use a bottle to cause grievous bodily harm to music producer Abe Diaw.
He appeared in court in Manchester in Friday.
Now, the Metropolitan Police has said another America, Omolulu Akinlolu, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent - the same charge as Brown's - in connection to the incident. He is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court later today (May 17), the Met said.
Their statement read: "Omolulu Akinlolu, 38 (1.1.87), a US national, will appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 17 May charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
"The charge relates to an assault, which reportedly took place at a venue in Hanover Square in London, on Sunday, 19 February 2023.
"A man has already appeared in court in connection with the same matter:
"Chris Brown, 36 (05.05.89), also a US national , was charged on Thursday, 15 May with grievous bodily harm with intent."
Brown has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at London's Southwark Crown Court on June 13.
He had been scheduled to perform a concert in Amsterdam on June 8, ahead of dates across Europe and the UK.
