Police officer resigns after footage goes viral on TikTok of him receiving oral sex in uniform

Following his resignation, a troubling catalogue of misconduct was revealed

A police officer in the US has resigned after a video went viral of him receiving oral sex while in uniform. The officer, now identified as Millen policemen Larry 'Benjamin' Thompson, went viral after the footage was posted on TikTok by user Dillon Cole. The video was taken without Thompson's knowledge and is believed to have been taken from a telecommunications tower in Millen on March 20. The post has received over 16million views.

"Police caught on cam!!!" wrote Cole, whose footage shows Thompson engaged in the sex act while behind his police vehicle. The officer was identified by superiors in law enforcement earlier this week, which pushed Thompson to resign before a meeting with Police Chief Dwayne Herrington. Following his resignation, Thompson's checkered misconduct record was revealed, reports Mail Online. In 2019, the officer crashed into and killed a senior citizen while responding to a call. Local station WRDW-TV said that Thompson was going 86mph, which led to the death of a 76-year-old man. Thompson claimed his gun jammed while cleaning it, but reports found that no malfunction occurred, and Thompson was branded "negligent." Most recently, in 2021, a woman accused Thompson of harassing her. The officer admitted to using police resources to track the woman down, claiming to want to return lost items. He was suspended for two days.
