The BBC has cleared its TV schedule
Huw Edwards has led an afternoon of
uninterrupted coverage of the Queen's health on
BBC News.
The Welsh broadcaster started a broadcast from the newsroom shortly after midday on Thursday 8th September after news broke that Elizabeth II is under medical supervision at Balmoral.
The broadcast was interrupted during Bargain Hunt, as the
BBC newsreader confirmed: "Welcome to viewers on BBC One. We have had news from Buckingham Palace that the Queen is under medical supervision at Balmoral."
Prince Charles and Camilla have reportedly arrived at Balmoral and Prince William is on the way after
news broke that doctors are concerned about the Queen's health.
The Duke and Dutchess of Sussex are also believed to be on their way.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: "Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. "The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral."
Several people pointed out that Huw Edwards' attire could suggest an announcement is in the offing.
