BBC One pulls TV schedule as Queen’s doctors say they are ‘concerned for her health’

Prince Charles and Camilla and William have rushed to her bedside

The BBC has cleared its scheduled programming following the announcement that the Queen was under medical supervision on Thursday afternoon and that her family are rushing to her beside.

The BBC had to be cut short its midday show for a news special as the monarch was said to be under supervision at Balmoral.

The broadcast was interrupted during Bargain Hunt, as a BBC newsreader confirmed: “Welcome to viewers on BBC One. We have had news from Buckingham Palace that the Queen is under medical supervision at Balmoral.”

Prince Charles and Camilla have reportedly arrived at Balmoral and Prince William is on the way after news broke that doctors are concerned about the Queen’s health.

Her Majesty is currently under medical supervision, Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

“Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. “The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”

Reports suggest Prince Charles and Camilla are now at Balmoral have travelled from Birkhall, nearby, while Prime William is still on his way.
