Since the internet decided to name a fledgling British research ship "RRS Boaty McBoatface" it was only a matter of time before Thing-y Mc-Thing-face became a running meme.

Now, Australian horse owner Joe Rosetti has come up with his own witty spin off, naming his new two year old, $45,000 race horse Horsey McHorseface. [caption id="attachment_53160" align="alignnone" width="6048"]via Flickr via Flickr[/caption] He figures punters will laugh first, bet second. "We had a laugh about it in the office and thought, 'Hey, why not'," Racing manager Jake Bruce told CNN:
"Joe's a good bloke and he's a good horse -- we just thought it would be a good fit," he said. "Any publicity is good publicity. He's got as good a chance as any to make it and we'd absolutely love to win with him on a big day. It would be a) hilarious and b) great for the owners."
