Lottie Moss, the sister of Kate Moss, has quit Twitter after she received backlash on comments she made about nepotism and celebrity culture.

Lottie tweeted earlier this week that while she’s “grateful” for the opportunities she received as a result of having a famous relative, she is “sick of people blaming nepotism for why they aren’t rich and famous”.

Now, it appears as if she has either deleted or deactivated her Twitter account.

When you go to her page, Twitter displays a message which reads, “This account doesn’t exist. Try searching for another.”

Earlier this week, Lottie received backlash as she shared her thoughts on the issue of ‘nepo babies’ following a viral article in Vulture which outlined how a huge number of young celebrities have famous relatives.

She wrote: “I’m so sick of people blaming nepotism for why they aren’t rich and famous or successful – obviously it’s not fair that people who come from famous families are getting a leg up because of that but guess what? Life isn’t fair – if you put your mind to something you can accomplish anything!”

She went on: “So instead of being negative about other people’s success go and try and create your own!”

In some follow up tweets, Lottie acknowledged her privilege and said that she was “grateful” for the opportunities that have come her way as a result of who she is related to.”

She wrote: “I obviously am so grateful that I have had the opportunities I’ve had don’t get it twisted (….) Obviously I’m privileged being related to a huge model (….) And am privileged for numerous other reasons and as I say I am grateful for it all but shitting on others because of it makes NO sense.”
