Liam Gallagher has admitted he is "on the downwards slide" as he battles several health conditions.
The 51-year-old suffers has spoken about how he's trying to get healthy and "undo all the bad work" he'd done in his youth.
The former Oasis frontman spoke to the Sun about his struggles with arthritis, saying his bones are "mashed up."
Gallagher told the publication: "I’ve got arthritis, bad. I went to get it checked out and my bones are mashed up.
"I can’t sleep at night for the pain. Tossing and turning. So I’m on herbal sleeping tablets and they’ve saved my life.
"One of them, seven hours out, no pain."
Along with the arthritis, Gallagher also suffers from psoriasis, a skin condition that causes flaky patches of skin which form scales.
Th condition led to one particularly bizarre encounter with a fan.
Gallagher recalled: “I remember meeting someone, some very strange kid, who came up to me and thought I had cocaine in my hair.
“I’ve got psoriasis, so I had obviously been scratching it during the day and there were little white bits and s***. They were taking it out of my hair and putting it on their gums and putting it up their f****** nose!"
These aren't the only conditions Gallagher suffers from. Back in 2017, the Mancunian revealed he had been diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease, an autoimmune condition that affects the thyroid.
He also had to have an hip operation last year.
Nowadays, Gallagher is no longer the party animal of his youth. The singer has understandably decided to prioritise his health, saying it's "time to get healthy."
He said: "You’ve got to undo all the bad work you’ve done through f****** getting off your head and all that.
"It’s time to undo it all now and get back to reality.
"All that stuff that you thought was cool in the early days... it’s time to get healthy."
Reflecting on life, he continued: "As you get older, life is precious, do you know what I mean? When you are younger you don’t care.
“But as you get older, you’re getting closer to wherever you’re meant to be going.
“I’m definitely on the downwards slide, though. But we’re all going to die, aren’t we?"
Gallagher is currently on tour with former Stone Roses guitarist John Squire, with the pair having recently released a number one album together.
Gallagher is also gearing up for a huge arena tour this summer to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Oasis' debut album Definitely Maybe.
