It’s believed good things happen to good people – and then there’s the ones who just get lucky like Jeremy Clarkson.

Despite leaving Top Gear (well, dropped after punching producer Oisin Tymon after being offered a cold platter over a hot steak), the presenter made a profit of half a million last year.

Accounts for his private company show that profits increased from £1.2m to £1.7m in the year ending May 2015.

£456,804 was paid out to an undisclosed creditor during the year.

Motoring fans are waiting to see what him, James May and Richard Hammond have in store for their new car show, which Amazon has reportedly paid £160m for the privilege.
