Iran's foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, has travelled to Russia for "serious consultations" with Russian president Vladimir Putin.
The Iranian minister is reportedly set to discuss the recent turn in events in the war in the Middle East on Monday morning with the Russian leader.
Furthermore, his country his also reportedly in contact with China, as per Sky News.
These developments come after US president Donald Trump confirmed on Sunday morning (00:58 BST) that the United States had dropped bombs on three nuclear sites in Iran.
This attack has since been dubbed Operation Midnight Hammer.
Taking to Truth Social Trump said: “We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space."
The strike saw three nuclear sites across Iran heavily damaged with the use of 75 "precision guided" weapons and 14 "Massive Ordnance Penetrators", also known as "bunker busters".
US Secretary of Defence, Pete Hegseth, said that America's B-2 stealth bombers "went in and out, and back, of Iran's nuclear sites without the world knowing at all".
He repeated Trump's words that the "US does not seek war", but he added "we will act swiftly and decisively when our people, partners and our interests are threatened".
Speaking more about the mission, Hegseth said: "This mission was not and has not been about regime change.
"The President authorised a precision operation to neutralize the threats to our national interests posed by the Iranian nuclear program."
Iran's foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, said on Sunday morning that the US will face "everlasting consequences" for their attack on Iran.
The West are increasingly beginning to view Iran, Chin, Russia and North Korea as a 'new axis of authoritarian powers, increasingly aligned and supportive of each other'.
