Donald Trump has confirmed that the US has dropped bombs on three Iranian nuclear sites.
The news broke in the early hours of Sunday morning (00:58 BST) that the United States have dropped bombs in Iran.
Donald Trump spent last week weighing up a decision to get involved in the war between Israel and Iran.
Now the answer is conclusive, America are now part of the war after dropping three bombs on three separate nuclear bases.
Taking to Truth Social Trump said: "We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space.
"A full payload of bombs was dropped on the primary site, Fordow.
"All planes are safely on their way home.
"Congratulations to out great American warriors.
"There is not another military in the world that could have done this.
"NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE.
"Thank you for the attention to this matter."
It is uncertain what Iran's response will be to this turn of events.
The three locations hit by American bombers include two sides used for uranium enrichment, Fordow and Natanz, while a third site Esfahan is where it is believed Iran stores its enriched uranium.
Trump reposted a post on Truth Social saying that "Fordow is gone".
Much of the conflict erupted after a UN watchdog found Iran to have 60% enriched uranium, much higher than the 5% needed for nuclear energy production.
A nuclear bomb needs around 90% enriched uranium.
The attack had been rumoured earlier today after multiple B-2 bombers were moved to Guam.
These B-2 bombers are capable of delivering the 'Bunker Buster' bomb which has been much spoken about as the only weapon that could destroy Iran's Fordow enrichment centre since it is underground.
The attacks on the three sites mark the first time since 1979 that the US has attacked major facilities inside Iran.
Trump has since announced that he will address the United States following the attacks.
He wrote on Truth Social: "This is a historic moment for the United States of America, Israel, and the world," he posts on Truth Social.
"Iran must now agree to end this war", he added.
