The former Man United star has gone viral for his antics

Hannibal Mejbri is back in English football with Burnley and has gone off to a fine start to the season following the Clarets’ 1-0 victory at Elland Road today.

Booked in the 38th minute for dissent, he was running a tightrope before his substitution for Josh Cullen in the 73rd minute.

However, when coming off the pitch, he had walk past a stand of Leeds fans.

Being booed by the Whites faithful, Mejbri responded in cheeky fashion, in which has been described as ‘rattling the entire fanbase’.

A Burnley fan and content creator captured the video of Mejbri’s antics to X, which has since gone viral:

One Leeds fan wasn’t having the antics, stating: “Gave it the big un once he was past the Leeds fans..bless him”.

An instant fan’s favourite, Mejbri has since been described as the “s***house replacement for Ashley Barnes”, a former Clarets legend.

Scott Parker’s side dug in to claim a priceless victory at the home of the title favourites.

Luca Koleosho scored an exceptional breakaway goal in the first-half – a goal in which he ran from his own half to seal the deal.

Burnley have moved up to third in the table as it stands, with Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland only above them.
