GoPro captures the moment a man mountain biked down a dam (Video)

Pretty dam stupid...

Let’s be honest, there are better ways to spend your time than this.

Whereas it’s undeniable that the GoPro era has seen some fantastic footage uploaded to YouTube, it’s also encouraged some individuals to push the boundaries of safety a little too much and produce videos that leave you questioning their sanity.

That’s certainly the case here with mountain-biker, Primož Ravnik.

He’s a bit of a daredevil is Primož, so when he saw a massive 60m high Slovenian dam, he decided he was going to free-wheel his bike down it and plunge into the water at the bottom at potentially break-neck speeds.

Thankfully, he appears to come out of the experience unscathed and it’s slightly reassuring that there is some kind of purpose to his ridiculous stunt.

The video has been entered into GoPro’s Line of the World competition which seeks to find the best point of view footage. There’s big money prizes to be won on a monthly basis, with the overall winner said to pocket around £20,000.

If you happen to live near a dam, we wouldn’t advise you start trying to emulate Mr. Ravnik any time soon.
