Don Cheadle has made an astounding racism allegation against Donald Trump

Extremely serious claims

Conor Heneghan

The actor has been an outspoken critic of the current US president in the past.

Actor Don Cheadle has accused Donald Trump of asking his friend’s father if he had ever “f**ed a nigger” at the Trump National Doral Golf Club in Miami at some point in the past.

Cheadle made the accusation on Twitter while engaged in an argument with a Twitter user over the Trump regime’s connections with Russia, which have increased pressure on the president in recent days.

Cheadle didn’t clarify when exactly the incident allegedly happened, but later claimed on Twitter that it occurred before Trump became involved in the presidential campaign and that the man he made the remark to has a famous daughter.

The actor went on to claim that Trump made the comment while playing a fourball at the course, having assumed his playing partners were ‘like-minded’. Cheadle claims he mistook their shock for disgust.

When asked why he didn’t reveal this accusation during the presidential campaign, Cheadle responded by saying that people already knew this type of behaviour to be in Trump’s nature and that making it public would have done little to change the minds of voters.

Cheadle has not been shy in expressing his feelings about Trump in the past.

Last August, for example, when Trump responded to the shooting of the cousin of basketball star Dwayne Wade to suggest that African-Americans would vote for him (in a tweet that has since been deleted), Cheadle called him a POS (piece of shit) and later used the phrase “die in a grease fire” in association with the current president.

When challenged on the comments, Cheadle said they were deliberately hyperbolic; “die in a grease fire” is common insult used by poker players and Cheadle is known to be a keen poker player.

Cheadle’s comments came after a day which started with Trump accusing former president Barack Obama of wire-tapping his phones in Trump Tower during the presidential election, accusations which drew a response from Obama yesterday.
