Call us crazy but we reckon Paul Nuttall didn’t learn rival’s name for ITV debate

He ballsed this right up

In Paul Nuttall’s head, we’re all Natalie.

Ukip’s Paul Nuttall didn’t exactly come across well during the Leaders’ Debate on ITV on Thursday evening as he used the wrong name repeatedly when addressing Leanne Wood.

There wasn’t a Natalie in sight but that didn’t stop Nuttall from going back to the name on more than one occasion as he discussed the subject of an Australian-style points system for migrants.

What likely happened is that Nuttall confused the Plaid Cymru leader with Natalie Bennett from the Green Party when they went back-and-forth on live television.

Neither Theresa May nor Jeremy Corbyn, both of whom are just other Natalies in Nuttall’s eyes, took part in the debate which lacked any real entertainment value before Nuttall got on the mic.

“I’m not Natalie, I’m Leanne,” Leanne Wood explained but just minutes later, she was Natalie again.

Caroline Lucas got involved to remind Nuttall of the name he should be using.

“It’s my fault,” Nuttall replied.

Yes. Yes, it most definitely is.
