Berlin: One dead and dozens injured after vehicle drives into crowd

A vehicle has driven into a crowd in western Berlin, killing one person and injuring at least 30 people, according to emergency services. The incident occurred in Charlottenburg on Wednesday morning. One person died in the city centre incident involving a small Renault car, Germany's Bild newspaper reported. A man, believed to be the driver of the vehicle, has been detained, Berlin police said. Pictures from the scene show a silver car sticking out of a department store building front. Morgen Post reporters said that a person was seen lying on the street covered in a blue sheet, The Sun reported. It is unclear if the incident was intentional or an accident.
