Videos show sexual activity in different areas of the Merville Barracks in Colchester with half-naked troops

A group of paratroopers face a military police investigation after being filmed having an orgy with a woman at a military base.

Several video clips were circulated on social media of a woman having sex with troops from the 16 Air Assault Brigade while dozens of others looked on, The Times reported.

A source told the publication the clips were “pretty graphic in detail”.

At one point, in the videos, a serviceman reportedly salutes his colleague as he has sex with the woman. The videos also show sexual activity in different areas of the Merville Barracks in Colchester with half-naked troops.

The Royal Military Police has been brought in to investigate how the woman got into the camp and if any rules were breached.

The sex was thought to be consensual, The Times reported, but it is not known when the incident took place.

An army spokesman said: “The army expects the highest standards of behaviour from all their personnel. Anyone not maintaining these standards will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken against them.

“The Royal Military Police are investigating several videos appearing to involve army personnel. It would be inappropriate to comment further while investigations are ongoing.”

The Times said it is believed the woman, a civilian, may have been smuggled into the barracks.

The paratroopers involved may be disciplined for breaking standing orders if they are found to have done anything wrong, an army source told The Times.

Last week soldiers from the Queen’s bodyguard were arrested on suspicion of selling cocaine and running a loan shark operations, just days before they were due to lead the Platinum Jubilee parade.

Six members of the Irish Guard were held on suspicion of dealing the Class A drug after being busted in dawn raids in Hampshire, Berkshire, North Wales, and Northern Ireland on Wednesday, The Sun reported.

The military has faced several sex scandals in recent years. In 2017, nine British servicemen were thrown off a nuclear submarine at the centre of a sex inquiry after testing positive for cocaine while on duty. Crew on HMS Vigilant were alleged to have had drug-fuelled parties while the submarine was docked in the US, and one man was said to have had sex with a prostitute in a swimming pool.
