Anonymous declares ‘total war’ revenge campaign on Donald Trump

Jordan Gold

Over the past few years, Anonymous has declared ‘cyber war’ on virtually everyone, from ISIS, to the KKK, to the British government, and even the Church of Scientology.

Now Donald Trump, the professional mouthpiece / amateur hairpiece running to be America’s next president, has made a new enemy of the online hacktivist legion.

In their latest video, the group has vowed to wage “total war” (keyboard war, that is) on the presidential frontrunner. It is claimed that the coming cyber attacks are a response to Trump’s racist, sexist, and anti-free speech remarks during his recent campaign:

“[Your] Inconsistent and hateful campaign has not only shocked the United States of America, you have shocked the entire planet with your appalling actions and ideas… In reality, You don’t stand for anything except your personal greed and power,” the group explained

Out of roughly 13 operations Anonymous has embarked on since its return to prominence in 2014, nearly all of them have targeted police brutality, terrorists, or hate groups. Notably, pretty much all its attacks succeed, if only temporarily.

Looks like Anonymous now has Trump in its sights.

In the past the hashtags  &  have been used to co-ordinate the group’s efforts.

Can we expect #OpTrump any minute now?
