Rapper 50 Cent is set to produce a documentary in conjunction with Netflix about the abuse allegations placed against P Diddy.

Two weeks ago P Diddy, real name Sean Combs, was arrested on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering as well as facing sexual assault and violent abuse allegations.

In light of these charges, much of the music world have condemned the 54-year-old American while many have dug up hints from the past such as some of Eminem’s lyrics dissing the rapper.

Now, fellow rapper 50 Cent has decided to produce a documentary with Netflix about these allegations with Alexandria Stapleton directing the project.

Speaking to Variety, 50 Cent and Stapleton said: “This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives.

“While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’ story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.”

50 Cent is an executive producer for his G-Unit Film & Television company and first announced his production house would be involved in the docuseries in early December.

At that time Combs had been sued by four women, opening a floodgate of allegations against him.

50 Cent has said proceeds from the documentary will go to help victims of sexual assault.

Since his arrest, Combs has been denied bail twice and is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre.

His lawyers had argued that he should be spared jail while he awaits trial and suggested a $50 million bond with electronic monitoring, weekly drug tests, a visitor log, the surrender of his passport and no contact with women.

They say that it is a preventative measure as he is in shock and his mental state is unclear.

According to the US Department of Justice National Institute of Corrections, suicide watch is ‘supervisory precautions taken for suicidal inmates that require frequent observation.’

If Combs is found guilty, the mandatory minimum sentence he could face is 15 years, with a maximum sentence of life in prison.

The American rapper, record producer and executive is a three-time Grammy award winner and is credited with the discovery of artists such as the Notorious B.I.G. and Usher.
