Swizz Beatz admits stealing some of Snoop Dogg's weed backstage at his very first New York show
"Snoop, I don't think I've ever told you this story"
Earlier this week we were paid a visit by Hip Hop royalty in the form of super producer Swizz Beatz.
In the country promoting his latest project, the hard-hitting POISON, we invited the beat maker, who is responsible for hits by JAY-Z, DMX, Drake, T.I., Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, his wife Alicia Keys, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj and many more, to sit down with us at the JOE studio in London.
Getting on to the topic of Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle album celebrating its 25th anniversary, Swizz revealed that he once stole weed out of Tha Doggfather's pocket backstage at a show in New York before the pair knew each other.
"Doggystyle comes out and Snoop Dogg goes to perform in Queens for the first time ever in New York, I think," he begins. "And we're in there super deep and he's performing and doing everything. And what do I do?"

Addressing the camera, Swizz then says: "Snoop, I owe you and I don't think I've ever told you this story. But I went in your dressing room and stole some weed out your pocket."
Laughing hysterically for a moment, Swizz gathers his composure and explains how he gained access to Snoop's dressing room in the first place.
"We were performing too and our dressing room was right there and Snoop's dressing room... I seen him coming in with the jacket. I went in his pocket and it was like a thick... I don't even smoke weed. I was like, 'Yo, I got Snoop's weed.' And just bagged it."
Admitting it was a trophy grab for him, Swizz then ended his confession by saying: "I had it like an envelope for years. For years and years. I don't know where it's at I wish I could find it and just give it back to him."
