Lewis Capaldi made a surprise return to the stage this week for the first time in five months, since announcing a mental health break in the summer.
The 27-year-old shocked fans when he jumped on stage at a bar on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow on Sunday night, December 3.
Capaldi announced that he was taking an indefinite step back from touring following his Glastonbury performance in June, due to health reasons.
In a statement at the time, the singer-songwriter said it was "the most difficult decision of my life."
He added: "The fact that this probably won't come as a surprise doesn't make it any easier to write, but I'm very sorry to let you know that I'm going to be taking a break from touring for the forseeable future."
A video circulating on social media shows the singer playing a stripped-back version of his song Before You Go, with just a guitar and a keyboard.
Since his hiatus announcement, Capaldi has been keeping a low profile, only being spotted a few times since the summer.
The singer was diagnosed with Tourette's syndrome in late 2022 and has struggled to adjust to it while touring non-stop, on top of suffering from anxiety and depression.
The Scottish singer's struggles culminated in his Glastonbury set in June, which he had to finish early as he battled tics on stage, losing his voice in the process. However, with the help of the crowd, he was able to create one of the more special moments of this year's festival.
