Talk about phoning it in.
A groom has been caught walking down the aisle completely taken - with his phone.
As the bride beams at her new husband he continues strolling and scrolling, in the video that was originally posted to TikTok, but is now circulating and gathering outrage across social media. The video was originally shared by TikTok user @CynthiaUmunze but has since been deleted.
On Twitter, the clip has been viewed more than 40 million times.
The couple has not been named and it is not known when the wedding took place.
"This marriage is over," predicted an outraged commenter on Twitter, while another added: "This is insane… disrespectful and condescending. Totally uncalled for."
Another commenter asked: "I genuinely want to know what he was doing and why she wasn’t bothered."
While the groom is glued to his phone, the bride smiles and thanks guests as the couple exit the church and appear to have a minor disagreement, perhaps, over the phone.
But rather than pocket the device, the groom grimaces in frustration. And his wife, well, she's left with nothing to do but continue celebrating the day.
Wedding watchers in the comments weren't buying the union: "Imagine on your day not being happy. This man was either forced or doesn’t love this lady. Why getting married then?"
"Get an annulment NOW!!!!!!,” another person wrote.
A third suggested the groom was talking to his "side chick".
In a rather different display of indifference, a groom ruined his own wedding recently by choosing to reveal his wife had been cheating with the best man.
Instead of dumping his fiancée after finding out about the infidelity - with the best man -he opted instead to serve his revenge as cold as it comes.
Instead of dumping his fiancée after finding out about the infidelity, he opted instead to serve his revenge as cold as it comes. On his wedding day.
Before he properly got into his speech the man, who was not named, asked guests to open envelopes that he had passed around, before saying, "Yeah, those are pictures of the bride f****** the best man, so I’ll be leaving now".
The man then left the venue, leaving his wife's family to pick up the tab.
