People can't wait for pubs to reopen after video of "most British pub scene" goes viral

*Peter Kay voice*: "'Ooo remembers pubs? What were all that about, eh?"

Ah, pubs. Good, weren't they?

Though they've been open for the odd window here and there during all of *this*, most of us haven't ventured into one for close to a year.

While we miss them dearly, there is at least hope now, as England gradually lifts lockdown measures, that we may be only a matter of weeks away from making our long long-awaited pub returns.

It's because of this that the following clip, which originally went viral a few years back, has once again been widely circulated on Twitter.

Capturing a one-minute-and-12-second snapshot of life in Leyland's Fox and Lion, set to the soundtrack of MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This," it's both enough to remind us of the kind of things we've missed(?) in out 12 months away from the pub and get us excited at the kind of nonsense we'll experience once again, hopefully quite soon.

There's a lot to take in for those who haven't seen this already, but savour every second.

See?

Highlights are the guy in the red t-shirt, who you simply cannot miss, but also the poor woman who appears at the 10-second mark, who just wants to enjoy her original WKD / pint without having a camera phone thrust in her face by one of the bar staff.

Ah, the pub. How we miss the pub and its pints and its packets of crisps that you tear down the side, leave on the table and share with your mates. Until we meet again.
