Introducing the final frontier of male cleanliness – the ‘Willy Brush’

Nooruddean Choudry

When it comes to keeping yourself clean in the nether regions, it’s a simple case of soaping up in the shower, right?

Wrong, according to this innovation in male grooming. Apparently the secret to a hygienic cock and balls is a dedicated brush. And it’s to do with your little chap’s hoodie apparently.

Scottish company Wills are advertising the ‘willy brush’, or gentleman’s cleaning brush to give it its no less ridiculous full name. And they can’t stress enough how the area beneath the foreskin requires their dedicated product.

Apparently – and we apologise for the terminology – ‘smegma’ can build up under your turtleneck, made up of a variety of fatty acids, which produce a whitish and oily substance (FFS – sorry).

This requires the willy brush, to eradicate such unwanted smeg, or ‘desquamated epithelial debris’. The instructions for using the brush are quite something:

“Gently withdraw the foreskin of the penis. Wet the brush with clean running water and apply a mild soap or gel. Brush gently back and forth, side to side, over and under the glans and the underside of the foreskin.  Thoroughly rinse the organ with clean water. Clean the brush with running water and repeat the process as required.”

We’re not sure about you, but we’d perhaps argue that impeccable cleanliness can be achieved without this or any other bristled tool.
