There’s nothing worse than ordering at McDonald’s, getting your food, and realising they forgot your Happy Meal toy your chips are cold.

Well, there are plenty of worse things in the world but in that very moment it’s crushing, you know, you’ve been there.

Our friends over at Her.ie told us about a way to make sure your chips in McDonald’s are always fresh but it takes patience and a bit of neck.

So if you ask for chips without salt, they’ll have to clean all the salty utensils and containers and make a completely fresh batch just for you.

Does it make you a bit of a Charlie Bananas, getting a fresh batch of fries during a mad post-pub rush on a weekend?

Oh undoubtedly yes, everyone behind the till will hate you. You are very much putting your needs before everyone elses.

But, you’ve just scored yourself a fresh bit of food, rather than something that may have been sat on the shelf for a bit.

And when you’re hungry and wanting a but of grub, does it really matter?

Yes it does. But, as we keep saying, you just got a fresh batch of french fries. You have gamed the system.

Now try not to burn your mouth on them. Your fries will probably be rather hot.
