What a shocker
A ranking of the 50 sexiest accents in the UK has absolutely rinsed Birmingham by placing them in last place.
Perhaps even worse for the Brummies themselves is not the fact they placed bottom, but the knowledge that their near neighbours in Wolverhampton were ranked five places higher than them.
The ranking was carried out by Big 7 Travel and did some digging into what people like and don’t like when it comes to an accent.
The poll found that the Essex accent is sexiest (really?) and the Northern Irish accent came second. Glasweigan came third (Again, really?), with the Queen’s English in fourth (What?).
Honestly, if there’s anything our readers in Birmingham can take as a compliment it’s that this list is completely ludicrous but hey ho.
