The cheapest supermarket for a basket of 93 items has been revealed

Don’t know where to shop for best prices? Look no further, as price comparison research found the cheapest grocer in Britain to help you save over £60 on your weekly errands.

We all have our favourite spots, the undeniable king grocer on our street, or that one supermarket that happened to have the best baked goods section despite what  your mates say about theirs.

‘Which?’ Performed a price comparison research to find the cheapest supermarket in the UK, and the results might lead you to start sopping elsewhere.

Aldi was crowned champion as the cheapest grocer in the Britain, beating fellow rivals Lidl (with Lidl Plus) and then Lidl (simply Lidl).

Asda comes next, followed by fan favourites Sainsbury’s and Tesco, even with their loyalty discount memberships, while Waitrose came in last as the most expensive option.

The comparison was conducted by comparing prices from 93 household items that can be found at all locations.

‘Which?’ found that when shopping at Waitrose you can expect to pay £223.38, compared to Aldi’s £159.48, when going over the 93 item shopping list.

The difference between Waitrose and Aldi came at £63.90, which is a steal for larger families.

Despite the 40% price gap between Waitrose and Aldi, Lidl and Lidl Plus prices came in at only a £2 difference.

Asda also came in as an underdog, beating Tesco and Sainsbury’s, despite the two giants being seen as the more affordable options.

However, Tesco only came £1 short of Asda, and £1 cheaper than Sainsbury’s, a sort of pick your poison sort of scenario.

Nonetheless, Aldi come in as the undeniable best options for those among you who enjoy agood deal, or have many mouths to feed.
