Remaster of 90s childhood classic game given major discount for limited time

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is on sale

The remastered version of classic game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 has been discounted for a limited time on Amazon.

Fans of the iconic series can get their hands on the PS5 edition of the double game for £28.26, which is a 29% discount.

The game is also available on other consoles, including the Xbox One for £19, PS4 for £22.84, Nintendo Switch for £27.99 or Xbox Series X for £28.85.

It's a remake of the first two games in the Tony Hawk's series, 1999's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and 2000's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2.

The remastered version marked the first major console game in the series since Pro Skater 5 in 2015.

Following its release in 2020 the game received positive reviews from critics, with praise for the graphics, diverse roster, nostalgic soundtrack and gameplay.

It went on to become the fastest-selling game in the franchise, selling one million copies within the first two weeks.

While gamers on Amazon have also praised the remake, with one writing: "Tony Hawk games made my childhood, and they’re still fun as an adult, especially with cleaner graphics."

Another reviewer said: "Blast from the bast brought into the modern day!".

Although the game is a remake of the first two entries in the series, it also features tricks introduced in later games up to Tony Hawk's Underground. This includes reverts, spine transfers, wall plants as well as enhanced tricks like double flips.

The discount follows up the announcement that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 will be remastered and released this year.

It's been confirmed by developers that it'll be released on 11 July, 2025 and fans can now pre-order both a standard or Collector's Edition of the game, with the latter including a full-size limited edition skateboard deck.
