There's 50 classic Sega Mega Drive games

The Sega Mega Drive is one of the best consoles ever to grace the market.

A staple of 1990s front rooms and bedrooms, the console put console gaming on the map.

People of a certain age will remember booting up the console and hearing the iconic ‘Sega’ announcement, before tucking into a fantastically pixel-heavy world of Alex Kidd, Sonic the Hedgehog or the brutally difficult Echo the Dolphin.

If you are feeling a bit nostalgic for simple Sega Mega Drive gaming you are in luck because a collection of 50 classic games is on sale and it costs less than 50p per game.

The Sega Mega Drive Classics collection for the PS4 can be played on PS5 consoles too and costs just £20 in an Amazon sale.

The list of games is impressive. It would not be a Mega Drive collection without Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and it also throws in Sonic 3D as an extra bonus.

The collection also includes the greatest side scrolling fight game series of all time in the shape of Streets of Rage 1 and 2.

Others include Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle, three games in the Golden Axe series, Fatal Labyrinth, Vectorman 1 and 2, and Virtua Fighter 2.

The set has a hidden gem too. Fantasy RPG series Phantasy Star including the sequel, Phantasy Star 2, Phantasy Star 3: Generations of Doom and Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium Ristar can all be played consecutively for a marathon of classic gaming.

Some of the titles include multiplayer compatibility so that you can play two player or more.
