One of the best Nintendo games of all time - Super Mario RPG - has been discounted on Amazon.

Games and consoles from Nintendo are rarely dropped in price due to the gaming brand's huge popularity, so this a chance to get a discount.

The Nintendo Switch game is available to buy for just £20.70 for a limited time on Amazon's website.

The game is the first ever Mario RPG that was overhauled for the Nintendo Switch with updated graphics and cinematics.

Players assemble a group of heroes featuring Mario, Peach, Browser, Geno and Mallow who embark on a quest to repair Star Road.

One fan wrote in a five-star review: "It’s brilliantly remake while keeping the 90’s charm of the original."

Another said: "Fantastic game, great rpg, graphics are nice and the story & writing are hilarious."

The deal on Super Mario RPG comes as Nintendo announced more details of the upcoming Switch 2.

The much-anticipated console was announced last week (16 January) with an unveiling of the new design.

Due for release this year, the new Switch features black controllers with a splash of colour instead of the all red and blue of the original.

Plus it seemed like Nintendo also teased a new Mario Kart game in the trailer after classic characters where spotted racing around a new desert circuit.

If you’re not too bothered about the latest model and are hoping that the prices of the original Nintendo Switch and the OLED model are going to drop following the new release then that’s also a possibility.

Currently the Nintendo Switch is priced at £247, which is about £33 cheaper than its launch price, while the OLED is £270, which is just under £40 cheaper than its launch price.

They’ll both be ones to watch following the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 as you might be able to get some deals, including bundles featuring a game.
