Dave Bautista shows off incredible transformation for Kratos in God of War series

Dave Bautista is going all in for Kratos

Bautista was announced as the new Kratos in Prime Video’s live-action God of War adaptation on August 20, taking over after Ryan Hurst left the project. Hurst had originally been attached to play the iconic character but reportedly stepped away after suffering a torn bicep injury on set.

Now, just weeks after landing the part, Bautista has shown off the physical changes he is already making for the role. 

The actor shared a video from his latest training session, giving fans a glimpse at his progress after getting back into weight training.

And he clearly knows there is still plenty of work to do. Sharing the update, Bautista wrote: “3rd week in to weight training again. 2 more months to get to where I need to be. Like ridin a bike! LFG!”

If he can make this much progress in just three weeks, it certainly looks like Bautista is taking his transformation into Kratos very seriously.
