Warburtons and Pizza Hut Delivery have joined forces to create the Cheesy Crumpet Crust Pizza – the ultimate hybrid to feed comfort food cravings as the UK heads into winter.
Taking to Instagram, the baking giant shared a video of the new creation, which consists of over ten crumpets organised in a pizza shape with a cheese and chorizo topping.
Fans are now asking for the doughy delight to be added to Pizza Hut Delivery’s menu, with one saying: “Hellllll yesssss to all of this. Please say it’s real?”
While another added: “The best thing since sliced bread!!!! I mean crumpets. WOWZA”
A spokesperson from Warburtons said: “This year, we’ve seen an increase of our brand fans getting creative and trying out various pizza toppings on crumpets. Which got us debating internally about different uses for the mighty crumpet.
"Pairing our crumpets with Pizza Hut’s signature base and toppings felt like a natural fit to indulge in during the colder British months”.
Pizza Hut Delivery Spokesperson says: “We're excited to partner up with Warburtons to celebrate National Crumpet Week and see our fans crumpi-fy our much-loved stuffed crust with Warburton's cheesy toasted crumpets. We're always looking at ways to serve up new flavours, so we can't wait to see how our fans will recreate our signature tastes at home”
